The Dr. Leïla Mezian Foundation Museum is composed of an articulation of volumes which creates a rich urban landscape. The volumes interconnect to create porosities in the continuity of the urban façade, bringing light and a visual connection with the city deep within the museum. The collection, which focuses on traditional arts, continuously dialogues with the realities of the contemporary world. The exhibition is composed of three components: a permanent collection of traditional arts, a gallery dedicated to the works of the painter Meriem Mezian, and a temporary exhibition space. The volumetric play between parts to whole achieves both a continuity for the museum and a flexibility that addresses the different spatial needs of each of these museum entities.
