This complex, built entirely in red-tinted concrete, is composed of two long volumes, interlaced with a series of bridges, which hang suspended in the heavily forested central garden of the hotel. Containing duplex suites with private terraces, these bridges float over the wide and uninterrupted expanse of the ground, providing shaded walkways for circulation. The villas are composed of simple and sober volumes reminiscent of the heavy earthen architecture of southern Morocco. The central garden of the villas creates a sense of community while respecting the private limits of each residence; in contrast, the forested garden of the hotel serves to screen each room from its neighbors, thereby ensuring privacy. This shifting contrast of intimacy and community is a constant theme within the project.
