Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The PASP project focuses on the buffer zone, which borders on previously protected areas. The project consists of protecting the heritage of remarkable buildings, as well as preserving the city's "backdrop." The urban landscape, the network of public spaces, view cones, and neighborhood morphologies become more important than objects and monuments. . We drew on extensive fieldwork to build up a new knowledge base for these neighborhoods on the outskirts of this historic city.
